Reviews for Tea House
Review highlights
Based on 119 reviewsTea House, a Chinese restaurant located in a food court on S Tacoma Way, is well-regarded for its flavorful dishes, particularly chicken, garlic wings, pepper steak, and fried rice. Customers appreciate the generous portions and affordable prices, making it a frequent choice for many. However, the cash-only policy combined with the somewhat hidden location inside a shopping center food court has been a common point of frustration. Despite these logistical drawbacks, the quality of food and friendly service consistently attract repeat visitors, contributing to its positive reputation among local diners.
Been going here on and off for a few years. Chicken is so good and the rice is flavorful. The prices are good also. They are friendly enough for me to keep returning.
Looking for a really good Chinese place that has pepper steak. Nobody has pepper steak out here. Came here because of the reviews 2 IMPORTANT things to know 1. It’s Cash ONLY and it’s a ATM located around the corner in the hall in case you forget! 2. It’s located inside the food court we didn’t know that and walked thru the entire shopping center several times before we found it. I almost gave up got some tacos and a torta but we found it. It was a bit of a line but it moved very fast. They give you a little keychain with a number on it while you wait. Our wait was like 12 mins. While we waited we saw her bring out a big ol bowl of their seafood noodle soup and OMG it looked and smelled so amazing. We will definitely be getting that on our next trip. The garlic fried chicken was hot and crunchy. You can definitely taste the garlic it was good and not too overpowering. The house fried rice had chicken, beef and shrimp. It was well seasoned but texture wise it felt like it had a gravy in it. Still tasty even though it isn’t what we are used to. Now for the pepper steak. What we made the trip for in the 1st place. It was delicious. The beef didn’t have a wired taste to it like everyone else’s beef n broccoli. The onions and peppers were perfectly cooked. Soft but still had a bit of a crunch to it when you bite into it. The gravy was delicious as well. I’d come back for the wings and pepper steak alone but I’m very interested in that seafood noodle soup. Check this place out. They definitely have some interesting stuff in the shopping center too.
Must try. Garlic wings and shrimp fried rice.
Food hits and for the price and portions hits every week for me!
Came here because of the reviews and was not disappointed. Cash only is a bummer the ATM here charged $2.95. food is a 5 star but location location location......
Great food. Bring cash. They do not accept cards. Reasonably priced. Ambiance is not much to see but the food is delicious. It is located in the B&I marketplace. I go here frequently.
